Nvidia recently has developed a chipset that combines the functions of a southbridge and GPU, with the aim to reduce the cost of products for PC makers as well as creating more potential for devices that are smaller and lighter, according to sources from the motherboard maker.
Motherboard makers / PC states that the legal considerations in terms of permission from Intel to Nvidia about the role of the chipset business, the claim must be made smoothly by Intel recently (U.S. Fair Trade Commission (FTC)). However, Intel is not expected to start as any negotiations with Nvidia in the near future, sources speculated.
